Say hello to theBalm's Mary-Lou Manizer highlighting powder: *cue angels singing*
THAT BOTTOM PHOTO THOUGH (insert heart eyes emoji)
Although I definitely did not need anymore highlighters, after hearing every man and his dog rave about it on Youtube, I gave into the hype and jumped onto ASOS and whacked it into my basket. I'd also like to point out the price tag, at just £17.50 this highlighter is an absolute STEAL.
Now to give you some description and comparison points, I would say this highlighter is the perfect in between colour in reference to Benefit's Highbeam and my old favourite highlighter duo, Benefit's Watts Up and Mac's Soft and Gentle.
I mentioned in my previous post, that Highbeam is very much a pinky, pearlescent highlighter, whereas Watts Up and Soft & Gentle are a lot more golden toned. There's the only issue with that duo, on my milky complexion, these can look like two orange stripes on my cheekbones if I don't blend them properly. Whereas on the other end of the spectrum, Highbeam can dry to a funky grey/ashy colour on my cheekbones, which is pretty unflattering to say the least! Maybe I just managed to get a dodgy pot? (typical Kez)
However theBalm have managed to conjure up the perfect in-between shade, a beautiful champagne-toned highlight with a slight bit of shimmer without transferring full flecks of glitter on your face.
It is definitely a highlighter that would suit all skin tones, but in my opinion, it is particularly flattering on us paler gals! There is also the Betty-Lou Manizer, a slightly darker highlighter, that I'm sure will do wonders for you darker skinned gals.
